Started in Indianapolis from my dorm room at Butler University, Brighter Days Banners began with one simple idea: every child in a hospital room deserves to feel celebrated and surrounded by community support.
What began with one painted banner has grown into a growing community of volunteers working to bring personalized banners, thoughtful gifts, and brighter days to children facing long-term hospital stays.

How to get one
- 1 Scan the QR code or visit our website below.
- 2 Fill out the free banner request form — it takes about 5 minutes.
- 3 We hand-deliver to Indianapolis-area hospitals or ship anywhere.
Every banner is personalized around the child's favorite colors, characters, and hobbies, and comes with a small gift. Requests are fulfilled according to our program guidelines and volunteer capacity.
What happens after you sign up
We review your request and match your child with a volunteer Banner Maker, who hand-paints a banner around their favorite colors, characters, and hobbies. We quality-check every banner, package it safely, and coordinate delivery — hand-delivered to Indianapolis-area hospitals or shipped to yours. We'll keep you updated every step of the way.
